If you’re playing on easy and are consistently winning on the last turn or two before you’d exhaust, then you might want to keep it there. I don't think you'll find it overwhelmingly hard. Also difficulty in Gloomhaven is a bit deceptive, in that the rewards tend to increase at least as quickly as the challenge. If people push back, fine, but if you have only lost a couple times then I'd bet you'll be ok. I think it could be worth it to say "Hey I'd like to try this at a higher difficulty". Does anyone else always play on easy, and do you regret it? I kinda want to convince people we should play on normal, but maybe they would have less fun if we lost more often? Idk. We've lost maybe twice since scenario #1 and we're all on our second or third characters now. Unrelatedly, my party always plays on 'easy' (-1 scenario level). My next unlock is two minis but I might do another saw. We're playing with un-nerfed stamina potions so I'm using that card constantly. My saw is level 9 now and I've been having so much fun with hold back the pain. RIP John McCain feel better xoxo 💋 🙠I could definitely see Cthulhu (which I am trying now) being better at this. Our problem is that while the Bear could smash trees, the sun just wasnt great at taking down the mass of 8+ oozes that would form eventually. Oh yeah I tried in 2p also at first with our high level Beast Tyrant and Sunkeeper. So you get the curses and poison and this stupid noise. Somebody fucked around with this message at 14:43 on Nov 25, 2021ĭigital Imps have a really annoying sound when they attack you also. Cthulhu did massive room-wide stuff and kept the growing Ooze blob in the right side of the map under control and whittled it down. I (as Superbear) blew up the first tree and enemy close to the start and then teleported over to the left-hand tree and blew that up. Our plan was to minimise spawns in the centre and left sections of the map. We did it 2P with L9 Cthulhu and a mid-level Beast Tyrant. But yeah snakes and ooze poison and fairy curses, all very annoying. So clearing one side and making an obvious attack direction for bear helped I think. Sun has the limited movement and beast tyrant has to keep the mini protected and hopefully get bear to go where we want. One difficulty we had was that two of our characters had rather poor movement.
